Polysomnography (PSG) is a comprehensive sleep test used to diagnose and evaluate sleep disorders. During this test, the sleeper's brain activity (EEG), eye movements, breathing, heart rate, muscle activity and other parameters are recorded. Changes and activities during sleep are analyzed to evaluate sleep problems such as sleep apnea, dream disorders, and insomnia. This information provides sleep specialists with important information in understanding an individual's sleep quality and sleep patterns. It plays a critical role in accurately diagnosing sleep disorders and determining appropriate treatment.
